Day 1 Arrival in Helsinki and accommodation at Kämp Hotel

The Kämp Hotel is located in the heart of Helsinki, in Esplanade. Opposite the Emperor Park, it is housed in a beautiful 19th-century building. All of the hotel’s spacious rooms have a historic and elegant atmosphere.

In the evening we will have the most classic three-course dinner including Baltic herring rolls,Challans duck and cranberry profiterole.The dinner takes place at the beautifully furnished brasserie Kämp.

Enjoy the dinner while adjusting your jet lag. You may use for free the Kamp Spa for traditional Finnish sauna, steam room and spa body room. You can also book a stay at a relaxing massage, body scrub and facials for extra charge.

Day 2 Santa´s hometown Rovaniemi and traditional evening dinner

After the breakfast at the hotel,a transfer to the airport, flying to Santa’s hometown, Rovaniemi. Our flight flight departs at midday from the airport and the flight takes 1h 20min.

After arriving at Rovaniemi Airport, the bus will pick you up to the Arctic Tree House. The comfortable and luxurious Arctic Tree House hotel is located in Rovaniemi. It is located in the Santa Park and your accommodation is in the suite. Guests can watch views of the surrounding forest, lucky guests can see the Northern Lights. The hotel can provide you with a feeling of the Arctic scenery and watching a new experience of Aurora. In the forest, everything is so beautiful.

Sky Kitchen & View Restaurant is frequently awarded as the best restaurant in Lapland, famous for its modern Lappish cuisine. Situated on top of Ounasvaara hill, this scenery restaurant offers feast for the eyes both on plate and outside its panoramic windows and open-air roof terrace.Excursion time19.00-21.30.

Day 3 Ranua Wildlife Park

This day trip takes you by car to Ranua Wildlife Park, one of the northernmost zoos in the world. The park is located about 80 km from Rovaniemi. Have a refreshing outdoor walk to see Arctic animals in an authentic wilderness setting. Lunch is enjoyed in a cozy restaurant, followed by a visit to the Fazer candy shop.
Excursion time 11.00-16.00 (transportation 60 min. one way included)

In Ranua Wildlife Park you might see the only Polar Bears found in Finland!

Day 4 Ice Fishing Safari and Northern Lights Evening Excursion

Drive through the white wilderness to enjoy ice fishing on a frozen lake
We head north on a snowmobile trail that takes you along the frozen River Ounasjoki and through snowy forests up into the hills, where you can admire the surrounding vast forests and wilderness of Lapland. Following the trail through white, snow-covered fields until arriving to a small wilderness lake. The silence will envelop you as the guide prepare you to go fishing. Try your hand at traditional ice fishing and fry your catch over a campfire. Afterwards, return to town for a well-earned rest.
Excursion time 09.30-12.30

During the Northern Lights excursion, the tour takes you to 2-3 different locations which are always chosen according to local weather conditions and photographic opportunities. This means that if we have a clear sky and a possibility to see the Aurora 100 km away, we will take the chance and drive you there.

Altogether we have over 50 locations from which we can choose the best ones each night! After reaching our destination we leave the minivan and continue on foot to reach the perfect spots in the middle of the nature. In the destination our guide, a professional photographer, helps you prepare your cameras for Northern Lights photography and we are ready for the show of a lifetime!

Day 5 Santa Claus Safari

This fantastic safari combines nature, culture and the spirit of Christmas. The day starts with a visit to local reindeer farm where you will hear more about reindeer husbandry and Lappish culture. You can take a short reindeer ride and attend a special ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle. In the afternoon the trip continues by car to Santa Claus Village with time to do shopping in Santa Claus Village. You will also have an opportunity to send postcards from Santa Claus main post office. During the day you get to meet Santa Claus himself, attend a snowmobile safari and enjoy a delicious lunch in a cozy restaurant. And you will get a Diploma for crossing the Arctic Circle!Excursion time 10.00-16.00.

Day 6 Day in Helsinki

After breakfast we have a transfer to Rovaniemi airport for our flight to Helsinki.

Helsinki, the capital of Finland, is a compact city, you can take a walk around the city with ease, from design, architecture, culture, shopping and other perspectives to explore the city.

Day 7 Departure to home

In the morning a delicious buffet breakfast is served and it includes also Finnish specialities as gravlax , Karelian pies and cranberry juice.

There is still time for shopping before your departure back home. In good time there is back to Helsinki airport.
